The gore level is pretty good but the writing and characters leave a bit to be desired.
My favorite "rewind to be sure I heard that correctly" moment was this simile: "Her tongue was so parched it filled her mouth like a dead dishrag. As dead as she'd be if she didn't find the water."
Really? A dead dishrag?
