More please.
I already knew that I'd enjoy Hope in the Heart of Winter because I'm a fan of the author's previous work. Buck has a way of capturing an era and dropping the reader right where she wants us and making us believe we're there. Buck has a great writing style and it never takes long for me to be swept up in the world she creates.
I haven't read the book that these characters first appeared, Ghosts of Winter, but now I'd like to. This is a very, very short story capturing one evening but I felt for Evadne and want her to find happiness. And I want to know how everything turned out!
